Welcome

This is one of my venues for therapy. I live too much in my head so I have strong feelings about everything and nothing. So this is my venting place.

Hope you find it entertaining.

On Wednesday I ran into "Michelle" at the gym.

I had told myself it was the absolute last time for action.

I was going to break the cycle of our "I like you but I'm afraid" dance.

So our conversation started off as it usually starts.

"Hi, film_geek's real name," "Hey Michelle." Etc.

But instead of her standing around and talking as she normally does, she excused herself and continued her workout.

Needless to say I punked out again and let her go.

I continued my workout stewing about my lack of courage.

But I manned up when "Michelle" started to work out near me again. This time I walked up to her and started another conversation.

We talked for like ten minutes and then she started making her way to the elptical machines. Wanting to keep the conversation going, I asked her for her help in using the cardio machine.

We are doing cardio for twenty minutes talking on and off the whole time when she suddenly stops and says she has got to leave.

During the cardio Dave (inside my head) has talked me out of asking "Michelle" where "we" stand.

But as she is leaving she asks me "are you going to be here tomorrow?"

I have to respond "no, but I'll probably be here on Friday like around four o'clock."

"Michelle" says "oh, I'll probably be leaving around that time."

"Well, I'll be here on Saturday and Sunday."

"I'll be here on Saturday. Well, take care film_geek's real name."

"Bye."

So that's how things ended on Wednesday.

Dave has me convinced that she wants nothing to do with me but whenever I see hershe sees me, she is like truly happy to see me.

It's confusing for me becasue I'm twisting everything around in my head (Dave's handywork) and I really need to straighten this "Michelle" situation out.

Does she want to be just friends as Dave has convinced me?

Or is she waiting for me to make a move?

Dave is a lying, deceitful, bald bastard, dude. You must not let him win. It may take everything you got, but you have to blurt out, "You wanna go grab a jamba juice?" after your work out, or you have to force yourself to say something like, "Have you been to MoMa lately?" and then she'll look at you funny because it's weird that someone would ask that and when she says, "No," you say, "Me either. You want to go with me on Saturday?" and just like that, it doesn't have to be anything huge. You can do it!!!!!
